Brett Smith broke the record for the most offensive yards by a freshman in the MWC history - 2,744 yards! Yesterday, he passed TCU's Andy Dalton, SDSU's Ryan Lindley, & CSU's Pete Thomas and he still has two games to play in his freshman year. The best thing about Brett Smith is he is a team player.

I'm not sure if they count bowl game yardage in with his freshman stats or not. Don't see why they wouldn't. If they do, his freshman yardage mark may stand for a long time.
