I sure as hell hope Billydee Williams ends up here.

I'm thinking Coach Shyatt definitely knows more about the recruiting situation right now than we do. We can speculate, but if he has Billydee Williams visiting, he must have a plan for getting him on board as a Cowboy.

Leonard can not play a 3 it just doesn't make sense. LeBron is a 3 and not better down low he is best going to
The Tim like a 3

False. about both things. Leonard can guard a 3 and play from the outside and slash in.

And LeBron dominates when he does that same thing. Drive in, try and get as close as possible and then shoot it. But he can also hit the 3, as can Leonard

By putting Leonard at the three you are taking him away from his greatest strengths. Can he defend 3's in the MWC? Some, depends on the opponent. Can he play from the perimeter on offense? Sure. However, is he efficient from there? No. He is most efficient when he catches it on the block or when he gets a bigger guy isolated on him and he can put the ball on the floor. Go back and watch some of the games late in the year. The opponents loved it when Leonard stood out there and launched 20 footers. That makes us easy to defend.

Leonard is also our best rebounder, so why would we want him out on the perimeter defensively?

Our best rebounder next year will be nance hands down. hell he almost grabbed as many as leonard this year off the bench. put him and sellers in the lineup with luke martinez and leonard as the most dominant 3 in the mwc next year with adams or gilmore at point and we have a huge strong scoring rebounding playmaking bad ass lineup

and leonard is only 6'7... more of a SF than PF to me, just because he's played at the 4 doesnbt mean he has to be the 4 and cant be a 3

From all that I've heard it would be a shock if Sellers contributed much this season. He's a Watsabaugh type player: big boy that can give you a couple minutes every game so a contributor can get a breather.

Not sure what you are talking about in terms of Leonards rebounding. He was the best rebounder on a per minute basis by a significant margin (1 reb every 3.7 min played compared to 4.5 for Nance who was 2nd on the team). It wasn't just a function of playing time.

Leonard played the 4 because that's where he was most effective.

I guess we will find out in the fall which position he plays.

We'll certainly have a lot of athletic options on the floor when Hankerson comes off his transfer year.

It will be interesting to see how soon Larry trys to push tempo and press more. I know a part of his decision to stay away from it last year was Adam Waddell's feet. Pushing the tempo with our depth and Adams feet would have been a mistake.

I think next season will probably be similar to last year's style of play: solid defense, rebounding, limit turnovers, and keep a hand in the shooters face at all times. I do believe we might look to break more often, but not as much as we'll be seeing two seasons from now.

We'll have to see how recruiting goes this year. If we can get another gaurd that can break and a couple more long, lean bigs we could see a high tempo style develop quickly.

The way I see it (through brown and gold goggles) is that if we improved that much last year +11 wins -10 losses... we will go 32-0 next season.
