But I respect the hell what they can accomplish in football given their limitations.

1. In order to play you must sign a commitment to be in the airforce.

2. There is no redshirt opportunity so no waiting on kids to grow.

3. Height and weight restrictions put their lines in a tough spot every game.

Despite these issues airforce fields a winner most years in recent memory.

...and to their credit, whenever they have a shit year or two, they don't wallow for 15+ years (and counting) to find a way to get back to 9-10 wins the following year.

I very much respect Air Force and the way their football program seems to make bowl games every year. Calhoun does a nice job coaching the kids up. He really knows the system and is able to utilize all the right players. Great model of consistency for a non-Power Five school, if you ask me.
