How many wins for cowboy football? I wonder what any cowboy fan has to say. It is so hard to judge your team vs someone like texas, but I thought we played okay, the rest of the season will be the real test for the team. Toledo will test how much are defense has gotten better, I think it will be a tough game on saturday. Coach Christensen talked about how we have to get better with are run defense. Texas ran the ball on us, but I throw that game out because it's texas. Games like Toledo, Nevada, Airforce, Fresno state, Boise state will be the real test for are defense. I think the offense can be good, need to run the ball better than we did vs Texas. It sure hurt the running game when Alvester Alexander left the program after his jr season. Hope all fans are ready for saturday go COWBOYS!!!

I don't see another team on our schedule that we "can't" beat. I think the only team with a defense on par with Texas will be Boise State and I don't see another team with a running game like Texas either. I predict:

Toledo: Win in shoot out
Cal Poly: Win in blowout
Idaho: Win in blowout
Nevada: Loss to a tough team on the road
Air Force: Win in close game in Laramie
Fresno State: Cowboys win on the road Brett Smith shows who the best qb is in the MWC
Boise State: Cowboys shock the world knocking off Boise at home in a snowstorm
CSU: Wyoming wins another border war
New Mexico: Dominating win
UNLV: Dominating win
SDSU: SDSU loses final game as member of mwc if dramatic fashion.

The cowboys end up tied with Nevada with one conference loss and Wyoming plays BYU in the poinsettia bowl and reminicient of WAC years it's a close game where Cowboys come out on top making BYU fans wipe the smug look off their face with the bitter taste of defeat in their arrogant mouths :)

That win Talley takes us to 11-2 and if this happens it is because our defense stops the run to an average ranking and our receivers and Brett Smith stay healthy and running game performs to an acceptable level. I believe they will and believe this is the year we return to conference championship form.

Losses: Nevada, Boise State
Could go either way: Air Force, @Fresno, @New Mexico, @UNLV, San Diego State
Wins: Colorado State, Cal Poly, Idaho, Toledo
Best case: 9-3
Worst case: 4-8
Likely: 7-5 or 8-4

Those are without the brown and gold glasses....^^^You'd be hard pressed to call that unreasonable.

Call me UW homer but, I think 11 or 12 wins after the bowl game. We can and will beat toledo. 1-1
Destroy Cal Poly 2-1
Destroy Idaho 3-1
Shootout win against Nevada 4-1
Hard struggle, but pull it out against AFA 5-1
Shoot out win against (overrated) Fresno 6-1
Upset win (for MWC championship) against Boise 7-1
Blowout win in the Border War 8-1
Struggle after some big wins against a much improved New Mexico 9-1
Get back to our domination against UNLV 10-1
Take it to SDSU for senior day 11-1

Win the Vegas Bowl against UCLA/Oregon St./Arizona State.
12-1

I do think the Nevada and Boise game could be up for grabs.
But again, being the homer I am saying we grab them both!

12-1 w/MWC championship Vegas Bowl win, and 4th consecutive Bronze Boot

Haha pokefanchaz7 our predictions were almost similar

I honestly think the only 2 teams on our shedule that challenge us the rest of the way are going to be Nevada and Boise St. The only reason Nevada will be tough is because it's on the road. I think if we had them at home we beat them.

So I will say 9 wins for sure with a shot at 10 or 11 wins.
