How long will Bohl stay?

People in North Dakota thought that Bohl would be with them for quite a while since he signed an 8 year extension at the beginning of the 2013 season....

My point is for all of you that thought that Tedford would not stay and this was a strike against him, it appears that Bohl is no different and if he gets Wyoming successful he is down the road as well no matter how many years we sign him to an extension.
 
I actually think Bohl's move is a surprise. If he really wanted to move up to a school from a BCS conference (*cough* Nebraska *cough*) why not wait another year? Why leave for Wyoming if that's the case?
 
Like i and a few others have said, If he's here for 3 years and bolts, that means we are kicking ass for 3 years. Which would obviously be an improvement right there. I think J-Rod is right
 
Well, considering he's already got the resume of Tressel or Bear Bryant according to some, let's just get on with it, induct him into the Wyoming HOF already, let him move on, and get on with hiring the next guy already.

holy shit....he hasnt even been officially announced as our coach...why dont we wait until tomorrow at 5:02 before we start counting our eggs...holy crap I cant believe this post exists....
 
So happy this has happened, Cowboy tough is back! Just watch and mark my words. The right man at the right time for our program. I love this move. My CJC constitutions just increased. What about you weak son a bitches who only post,but have never given a dime to the"cause

Not the Cowboy Joe Club, but UW has gotten my money.
 
He's 55... He could be lifer, maybe not. If he wins and then bolts for Nebraska, great!

He wasn't going to go from FCS to the Big 10. Love this hire!

C'mon, he hasn't even landed in Laramie yet. If Craig Bohl brings the type of excitement and success to Wyoming as he did NDSU, then leaves after three seasons or so - I'm good.
 
Gayest thread ever! I want to seriously slap anyone who asks these stupid questions before the guy even started. If the past is any indication, he's more likely to be fired than leave.
 
Holy moly, what a beautiful thread. And the answer to the silly question is simple:

If he's a big winner, one of two things happen:

1. He leaves for a job at a big-time football school, and he leaves Wyoming in great shape, and leaves with the coaching job here very desirable for other good coaches; or

2. He decides he loves it here, and is satisfied to remain here until he retires...in which case, see above.

If he's a big loser, then he gets fired after, say, five years.

Because it will give him some FBS head coaching on his resume. He is inheriting a nationally ranked top 10 (?) offense and will make a bowl game easy next year. He is here 1 year then trys to get the Nebraska job next year when Pelini is fired.
 
If his NDSU contract is any clue, he negotiated to have two years as an "administrator" once the eight years in coaching were over. He's what - 55? He might be thinking of how the career winds down and may not be as eager to move on as some might think. Sure the Big 5 conference pay better, but there's a lot more pressure that he might not want to deal with since he's been to the "big time" before.
 
He needs D1 experience b4 jumping to fill in when that day happens that Neb rids Pelini, but who knows if he builds something here he just may stay thru his 5 year contract
