How does the AD keep his job...

And his staff stay employed, with this widely known, documented information. President or no President. BOT or no BOT. Governor or no Governor. I am quite puzzled. More like astonished. Maybe the 7+ years of just cruising along and collecting checks is about to end?

"There is a pervading opinion that "good enough is good enough" in football and basketball. Thus, there is not a sense of urgency and accountability that accompanies programs with high expectations for competitive success."

And...

"The Athletics Director and head coaches should be more visible within the University and local community."

And...

The University does not have clearly stated goals for the Athletics program. There is no University strategic plan for athletics. While there are goals and priorities within the Athletics Department, these are not widely known."

McPeachy:

I know you want Burman fired, but...jeez.

There are about three priorities for an athletics department:

1. Good graduation rates, and graduating students with meaningful degrees;

2. No cheating; and

3. Getting sports onto winning trajectories.

I suppose it's the third priority that casual fans worry about the most...and that one will no longer be a factor if Bohl turns out to be a success.

question for ya: if any one wins the Mega Millions, how much do you give the CJC??? I'd give it to the Athletic Dept rather than the CJC

McPeachy must have just received his Cowboy Joe packet in the mail.......

Now that's funny.

I'm on my third reading of that thing.

On my first reading, I calculated that I have 250,000 points, and will actually be sitting on the bench with the basketball team and taking over if Shyatt is ever ejected.

On my second reading, I calculated that I have negative 1,000,000 points, and will be able to watch games only from the Honor Farm in Riverton, trying to catch the stream from a Romanian pirate site on a computer fashioned out of bed springs.

I am very curious to see what my third try tells me.

I know, I know...but athletics (in my opinion) exist at Universities and Colleges for one reason, and one reason only. To entertain the fanbase / alumni group.

You too huh?

I love that "cost of attendance" thing on page 3. LMAO!

Oh, and the points chart on page 11. I have 630 points. Guess what that means?! Notafuckingthing.

Great post! I needed that one, thank you!!

Oh, I totally agree.

So, to make a long story short, I think this is where Burman sits:

Legerski: is providing entertainment

Shyatt: everybody guesses he is going to provide better entertainment.

Bohl: if Bohl doesn't start making football fun, Burman will be out on his ear.

I wouldn't want to donate directly to CJC because those funds aren't necessarily going to go where I think they need to go. That's my entire issue with the donations. I'd rather donate specific things, such as all the video equipment for the AA renovations. I feel better knowing that my money is going to improve the athletics program for fans and players alike, but that's just how I am.

If I had tons of money I would donate specifically to certain things.
Honestly, if I were to win the powerball, I would probably suggest a wyonation online meeting on what specific things to donate to.
I have my own preferences, but I am not the only die hard Wyo fan here.
I think between all of us on here, we have suggested things that combine the best things from all the best sports teams in the country.

I do know that I would make sure that the stadium is sold out every game.
I would be buying tons and tons of tickets and just giving them away, and transporting people to Laramie.
