home crowds

After seeing a team lay egg after egg like tonight, is it any wonder the big crowds aren't happening at the AA?

Well if fans want to be pussies like you then yea it makes sense. Grow a pair and support your team through thick and thin. Yes they had a bad second half tonight but this team has beaten everyone's expectations so why not show the kids you support them. You don't think the seniors deserve to play in front of good home crowds after the last four years? Don't think a decently full AA will help keep kids and influence future recruits? If you don't then you can fuck right off :thumb:

agreed!!! these kids deserve better fan support than what's been showing up, compared to years past...last 2 give em some love, I'll be there and I live in Cheytown!!! yea students that means you!!!

I just love the grown up responses which are sometimes posted here. The name calling that occurs shows the stupidity of some who call themselves poke fans. My wife and I are long time season ticket holders for both football and basketball and make it to most games in spite of having to drive 720 miles round trip. We donate to CJC at the highest level. And then an idiot like Aaron calls us pussies for making a casual observation. How quaint.

Really, No one more than likely not even yourself thought that Wyo could pull off 18 wins, or more, sense the season isn't even over. Your so called observation is more like a slam! So, I ask you, where is the maturity? These kids have been playing their asses off. They need support, especially the kids that have stuck with this program through the Heath years and now under Shyatt. Just think if Waddell, Luster, Cruz and even Washington decided to bolt like Jackson and M'Baye? Where would we be. These kids are true Cowboys and they are giving you fans their all. They, themselves, as well as these new coaches deserve your support through the thick and thin. Quit complaining and just go.

real fans have ulcers after nights like last night. I know that I must go pout someplace for a few hours before anyone should talk to me. Unless the wifey wants to make me feel all better ;) I rarely missed televised games and hardly even miss any during the fall. During archery season, I climb to the tallest peak with my little handheld radio and headphones to listen to games. I've made one football game each of the last few years and 0 basketball games in quite a while. I still consider myself a great fan. hell with my schedule ( i only get two weekends off a month), I'm lucky to have but a couple of football home games that I would be able to make. I should be making more basketball games since I only work 14 of 28 days. but I also fall into, it's on TV crowd. For basketball, I put the blame on students. There is no reason there can't be 2-3k students. Throw in laramie and Cheyenne and you should have at least 7K for a plane jane opponent and much more when a rival comes to town. I suspect people will be on board soon. We have at least two full classes of UW grads who never knew a good basketball team. Some people still have to fall in love with UW basketball.

Anyway, I'm rambling. peace.

Agree. I think that is the underlying message in the OP as well.

The Shroyer - Burman experiment, along with the last 3 or so years of Bucky, did in UW men's hoops. It is going to take winning, and more, to get it back to circa 2001-2002.
