For all the crap this messageboard gave him a couple games into the season, I just wanted to point out how great he has been playing the last 4 games and say good job to him. He has been playing like I thought he could on both ends. Keep it up Al.

I gave him a bunch of crap, but he's been playing so much tougher. He's hitting the boards and scoring down low very well. Good job, AL.

Its like the game after this board exploded, he's turned into a beast. I was as hard on him too but he has really impressed me the last few games. He's playing, dare I say, Nance-esque. He doesn't have the same gifts as Larry but he's playing smart, he's playing aggressive, and he's making the absolute most of his tools right now. The ceiling looks a lot higher on him right now than it did a month ago. Keep it up big man.

I didn't get to watch last night, and obviously Dave's constant excitement can make radio misleading, but it sure sounded like he found his balls and played like an actual big last night

He was a monster down low last night. He doesn't have that power dunk, ruin your night kinda athleticism but his height was causing fits. There was a stretch of 5 possessions he got 3, "and 1" opportunities and made them all. The dude was abusing them on the offensive end. He played great D man on man and Help D, he had a couple nice blocks, and grabbed some big rebounds.

Speaking of that, no one is talking about the Elephant in the room. WE OUT REBOUNDED A TEAM FINALLY!!! Woohoo!

Two games in a row! I still think we're going to get demolished by most MWC teams on the boards unless we put our very best rebounding lineups out there.

Shit. I thought this was our first game. Either way we're trending in the correct direction

Totally agree, I thought early on he was weak and ineffective. Glad he's grown some, and is contributing - blocking shots, hitting the boards, hustle plays, and jams. Adams and him are turning into a good tandem on the low blocks on the drive and delay feed. Hoping we find another rebounder/enforcer down low. Good win for young Pokes.

I didn't get to watch last night but I listened. From everything I've been hearing and the little I've got to watch Herndon has definitely been coming on, increasing his presence/aggression/playmaking. I'm not gonna take back anything I said before either cause its how it looked and felt at the time. If they read the board and get extra motivated to throw our words in our faces that's fucking rad! EAT THE CROW!!!

I'll be rooting for Al and all the other Pokes to continue to push this season to the edge as hard as they can. Hell 3 or 4 weeks ago I'd say we'd be lucky to finish 8th in conference.......now I'm getting that creeping feeling of Shy ball coming on. I shouldn't underestimate the players or the coaching staff at this point but hey its hard to shake some of those doom/gloom inner Pokes feelings we all must face. We also got spoiled rotten last year and it didn't hit me until this year's hoops season was underway.

Because he is 6'8", can shoot, is a smart, player and takes care of the ball. Last night was his 6th NCAA game. He needs to add some bulk, but I don't have a problem with his game at all. He is the type of player DU would love to have in their program.

I didn't realize we were after 98 pounders who the powerhouse Pioneers would love to have in their program

Lol

He was so timid last year and early this year he was like a deer in the headlights but the last 2 games he has been more like Cooke acc that is what I expected him the be like so I'm happy he finally looks like he is coming out of that shell.

It's almost like he realized simply showing up won't win the games.

Maybe it was the loss to that pitiful Big Sky team where the team realized they do indeed, need to put in an effort to win the game, instead of merely showing up.

Amen, brother. Dalton is a kid that would have played for Majerus at Utah. I'll take smart, long players that can stroke it from outside any day. He can put on weight later.
