Helmets for Sale

Hey guys. I now have 4 helmets done, 2 brown helmets (one with american flag steamboats and one with wyo state flag steamboats) then a metallic white helmet with gold steamboats, and a concept white helmet with the massive pistol pete. That being said I am now thinking about selling them. You will be able to choose color/logos then pay a price based on those choices. Plain white would be base, then more for brown, and a little bit more for white metallic. I would be using these helmets http://www.riddell.com/shop-riddell/helmet/revolution-attack-youth-helmet/. They are awesome and look full size without paying full size price. I would be willing to do varsity size but it will cost much more. So that all being said knowing the helmet itself cost $81-$100 depending on paint, how much would you guys be willing to pay or would you even be interested?

Fuck. Just measured my head, and it's 25 inches in circumference. :tickedoff:
What does that have anything to do with this?
The link you had went straight to instructions on measuring your head for a helmet. My head is about 2 inches too big for their largest size. :(

Ya because they are youth sized helmets. The youth size allows me to buy the newest helmets for a cheaper price. If you want an adult size helmet you would have to pay an extra $100-200. I would assume most people would just want these for display purposes. Not to wear.

*sigh* I know, but it's why I don't wear fitted hats.

oh god, not this again...lol

I think selling the helmets is a terrific idea.. I know they would be popular. As long as you can make your time worth it, I say do it. What helmet combinations do you guys like the best?

I thought about that design too, actually..

I dug the flag helmets, but the best looking new one this year was the matte brown with gold stripes and steamboats IMO.

I might be interested for around the $80. I am not sure which helmet though I like the Brown w/ Yellow Steamboat. Or the Traditional, or the WYO State Flag Helmet too.

The brown w/ gold steamboats was a great helmet.

The cost to me to do them alone is around $100 so that's without any other considerations. So would you guys buy them for $175?(extra if you wanted metallic) The helmets would be made to order so you choose the color(white, metallic white, or matte brown) then you choose the steamboat combos(traditional, state flag, American flag, or gold). The only thing I am having trouble getting ahold of right now is the stripes. If I had enough interest this problem would go away. Let me know what you guys think.

I would certainly be interested but probably not until after tax rebate time. Probably in a month or two for sure. I would love to get a brown helmet with the American Flag Steamboat on one side and the yellow Steamboat on the other, that way I could flip the helmet around. FYI, I used to own my own business but with the economy going down I had to sell out, but that's another story for another time. While it's nice to do favors for people, make sure you make some sort of profit on those babies, otherwise you'll just be spinning your wheels after a while. If they're as good as they looked in your earlier posts, they'll sell well enough. Just name your price and if it's worth it for people they'll buy it if not they won't.

There would be some profit in it but not a so much that I would be ripping people off. Plus these would be made to order so I wouldn't be getting burned with extra stock or whatever. I would probably start doing them towards summer being that right now I should probably focus on classes ha. damn. But i just wanted to get a feel right now so I can look into getting supplies to figure out cost.

I would be down! $175 seems real fair for a choose your own type of helmet. Most of the time, you only got one choice.

I'd like to get one sometime. I'd pay $175.00

I'm not sure which combo I like though ....

I'm not a fan of the stripes myself so that isn't a problem.
