Its not good to speculate without real facts.

But why the fuck would we care here at WN, right?

Rumor is QB Bryant Moniz and a family member of his might have been doing some illegal things behind the scenes. It started with a questionable performance at UNLV, and got ridiculously obvious when UH blew a 28-7 lead at halftime over Utah State. He couldn't have made it more evident that he was mailing that game in to fit the spread.

Needless to say, UH is in some deep shit! This has barely begun to be uncovered......

Wow.. that's pretty intense. The UNLV game is the one example I read about earlier where the betting line went from -1600 to -700 or something like that in a pretty short amount of time. I'll be really curious to see this unfold.

This is getting pretty ridiculous though.........child molestation at Penn State, point-shaving at Hawaii. Next up? Human-trafficking at Iowa, followed by WMD's found at Texas.

No, those were found at LSU.

Funny you say human-trafficking, someone on Twitter (maybe Dan Wolken from the NYT) said that they had human trafficking next in the violation pool. Followed by a prohibition type scandal at BYU. Also, don't forget about Miami's super agent.. the hammer hasn't even come down on them yet.

Actually it was Cali and Nevada with Pelosi and Reed, OHHHH

Sadly the guys on Sports Hawaii thinks this whole mess is someone way of "punking" the university...i.e., it's a joke.

The guys there have their heads up their asses so far up it aint funny. :brick:

I'm friends with the admin of SH and one of the mods there.

The tells for this sort of thing come from the Nevada sports books. I can pretty much guarantee that sports book directors looked pretty closely at the betting patterns and trends in the UNLV game after that outcome. If there's anything to this, they'll call NGC and a more formal investigation would be triggered. Until then, it's all just speculation.

Gotta say, though, the UNLV game, the USU game, and the CSU-Fresno game all look a little odd. There was a lot of line movement in the UNLV game which indicated some fairly heavy betting on UNLV, but I actually bet that game myself (took the points, not the money line) based on how UNLV moved the ball against Wisconsin. Didn't pay much attention to the activity on the USU game, but the odds on the last game were only about +175, not huge. Still, if someone can guarantee an outcome, there's a lot of money to be made.

Yep, the money line moved from UNLV +1700 to +600. That really says something, that's a huge move. It takes a lot of money to move a line like that.

Head coach McMackin was hanging out at the Suncoast sportsbook bar the night before the game. I saw him. My friends were talking to him. Of course, that doesn't mean a thing. I sincerely don't think think the head coach had anything to do with it, in fact I'm certain of it , but that still doesn't look good.
