Harvey Unga and a BYU womens basketball player left school for violation of the schools honor code. Pretty happy about this one, I will take any chance to beat BYU, even if its due to their best player not playing.

Fuck you byu

Wow.. wonder what happened.

From College Insider:

"As Jay Drew of The Salt Lake Tribune notes, the BYU Honor Code forbids things like booze, tobacco and pre-marital sex. "

I doubt whether they were caught drinking and smoking together. So it must be the other thing. But this just shows the hypocricy - my observation, when I lived in Idaho - was that the Mormon women were the most promiscous I had encountered anywhere.

Hopefully prospective recruits will pay attention to such ridiculousness tied to BYU's academic honor code and be dissuaded from attending there.

From what I read on other boards it seems as if they had been together for awhile. My guess is the school/church pushes them to get married in order to remain. As a statement and a respect for their privacy rights, I hope they tell BYU to go to hell.

Couldn't happen to a better school. Unga was one hell of a player, and he wasn't doing anything wrong by most people's standards. BYU's holier-than-thou attitude has rubbed me the wrong way my entire life, and I hope that instances like these will cause recruits to shy away.

Here's why that won't happen. First off the majority of their recruits are all ready mormon's who will willingly accept the honor code and secondly they breed like rabbits making their recruiting pool bigger and bigger every year. The only way to stop this is to neuter them, which I'm all for. :winky:
