This might be an unpopular opinion, but...as a season goes on, support for the team is earned, not guaranteed or automatically deserved.

I realize ticket prices have gone up for all sports. But the product on the field better be competitive to earn the ticket prices and concessions charged at a major college football game. Plus, I much prefer day games. But scheduling is obviously done for tv and to hell with the fans.

Don't get me wrong, early in the season I think the unconditional support is needed, for a variety of reasons.

But several games into a season, if there are clear problems and the team is spiraling, and/or there is a clear culture issue or a sense of giving up, or the playcalling is extremely uninspired/conservative...a team and/or coaching staff doesn't automatically deserve money or energy from a fanbase.

I agree 100% with this. Had high hopes for this team following BYU and our path to a championship. Drove all the way down from Joliet, MT and get treated with the product we saw, makes it really hard to make that commitment again.
