Is he really dual sport athlete? I see where he averaged over 40 points per game but is only 5' 11". Any idea if Wicks thinks he has any chance to be our point guard?

Seems like he chose Wyoming mostly because we would allow him to play both sports. All other schools were recruiting him for football only.

He plays 4a basketball in Texas. His high school has a total of 505 students, so similar to Douglas, Powell, and Lander in Wyoming. It's always very hard to judge kids playing at that level - they aren't facing the greatest competition, but an average of 47ppg is still an impressive feat.

For a school like Wyoming, it's probably worth taking the risk to allow him to play both sports. He had some pretty good football offers.

I honestly hope he is able to do both but from some of the video I saw online he can really shoot the 3 which is something Wyoming BB could use.

There are lots of players that can shoot a good percentage from 3 as long as they have a consistently open look.

It will be very different against much faster and longer defenders like he will see in the MWC. It becomes more about having great off the ball movement and having a quick release without losing the accuracy. Hopefully he is able to make that adjustment.

I hope we see him on both rosters. He may be short, but you don’t average 40+ points per game in Texas, or any other state for that matter, by accident. Clearly he’s skilled.

I am being realistic - he will eventually pick a sport. How many basketball fans were excited for Austin Conway? Scottie Vines? Both of those guys were actually recruited for basketball first and played both but went to football only.
