Granderson, has been playing more than 30%.
Horrible news. Best for a quick and speedy recovery Carl. Prayers.MrTitleist said:Torn ACL, according to UW athletics press release this morning.
If he has surgery to repair, which I'm guessing is a given, he won't be back this year. I tore my ACL and the doc said it takes 6 weeks for the repair to develop a blood supply to adequately be healthy. Six weeks is when the repair would be at its weakest point.MrTitleist said:cali2wyo said:You're assuming we won't play in the conference championship game, CFP semifinals, and then the National ChampionshipMrTitleist said:He does not qualify for a medical redshirt as he's played more than 30% of the year. That brings up a good question... does that 30% rule apply to only regular season games? Or do conference championships and bowl games also count? If so, it seems like it gives an unfair advantage to injured players on better teams...
lol.. he's not gonna recover from an ACL tear that quick.![]()
Of course he won't come back this season. He'll almost certainly be out for spring practice too. My comment was a joke saying if we go on to have a really long season, Granderson could fall under the 30% threshold and qualify for a medical redshirt.Poke-proud said:If he has surgery to repair, which I'm guessing is a given, he won't be back this year. I wish him a quick recovery, but guess he won't be ready much before spring ball.

We must be watching different teams play. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with 7-5. But right now the Pokes are kicking butt. And, are standing 4-2. The way we've been playing, it isn't a stretch to think we can't split the remaining games. Only Boise and SDSU are tougher than the two teams we've already played. And we get both at home.Wyo2dal said:If our defense manages to keep scoring each game we'll have a great shot at 7-5 or better. I hate to agree, but I think everything you say is true. He was a beast with the pass rush, and I'm not sure we'll understand that until we see Boise State, etc. With the AF offense probably not as evident, but a good passing team, "oh boy". Feel bad for the kid.LanderPoke said:The loss of Granderson is going to be huge. Unfortunately, I think there's a pretty massive drop off to our next DEs. Not to say that our other DEs are bad, but Granderson is exceptional (I think he was already better than Eddie Y.). This means a lot less pass rush for our shaky secondary.
To me Granderson's loss equates to one less win. He's that valuable to us. Hope I'm wrong. 7-5 is most likely
Bohl seemed to indicate in his press conference that they can't get by with just 3 guys, so Shiloh Windsor will likely get time (unless there's another guy around who they'd slide in).JimmyDimes said:The biggest question mark for me is can we get by with a 3 man rotation, or will someone else be added to the mix?
