So does McM have to do a masters or can he just take like one class and focus on basketball?
Looks like it doesn't matter. Looks like he can do both well at the same time.

Matt Leinart only had to take ball room dancing his senior year lol. So yes he only has to take one class if he wanted.
As far as other athletes we 59 grads with a 3.24 gpa.

That was Leinart's last semester of undergraduate, he didn't graduate in 4 like Jason. NCAA rule states that you must be full-time in every semester except your last one, which you must take at least 1 course in. So JMac would still need to be a full-time student for the fall semester (at UW, grad school = 9 credits for full time, opposed to 12 credits for undergrad). But then in the spring semester, he could take just 1 course if he wants and still be eligible.

I was not aware Leinart didn't have his degree. So did Leinart only need that one last credit to graduate after the season.

From what I could find, Leinart was only 2 credits shy of his degree going into that fall semester, so he took ballroom dancing. That supplied the last credits he needed to graduate and fulfilled the NCAA requirement to take at least 1 course in your final semester.
