I have a question for those who are on this terrific website...

How many of you subscribe to the Rivals Wyoming page?

If you do are you satisfied with it, are the writers locally based, and do you feel it is a worthwhile investment for the $100 a year they ask for?

Any help in answering these inquires would be appreciated.

I'm there and I like it. They will sometimes get info there that isn't over here. (Like the fact that Lukenbill and Diamanti both decided not to return.) in my opinion, it tends to be some of the older fans, some of which stir the pot like a few here. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but I follow both. I find that it's easier to keep up with the Pokes with all the resources than just one message board.

I think so. Tom Lacock and Ian McMackin. I'm not sure which one is local. Ian writes like he has inside info from the athletic department. Tom does a fantastic job calling and interviewing recruits and stuff, but don't know if he's local.

There is a crazy old lady that many on the site defend...i usually have a hard time deciphering what she writes. Sometimes it humorous, sometimes not. Enough said. (That'll make more sense if you read the poster's posts).

Nice to know alyssa has accounts on both sites.

Sounds more like packerpoke than Alyssa.

I wasn't going to name names, but yes. Anyone know her story?

Figured it was her. She's a bit strange. Almost as if she's drunk all the time.

I used to be on that board as far back as around 1997 or 1998 when Slider was running the board. Still remember the Jaycee Carroll War on GWG that almost caused Rivals to get rid of that board a few years before this one got started.

Wonder what Slider is doing these days?

Dude, I haven't read anything on there from her that didn't read like she's wasted off her ass. She seems like a batty old lady (mostly nice) who isn't quite all there.

I'm not saying she's drunk 24/7. ALL I'm saying she just acts like it.

I get ya. I'm just saying it reads that way, whether she is or not. I'm not really judging, just wondering what the deal is.

I've been wondering the same thing since the early 2000s when she joined that board. I left that board about the time this one started in August of 2007.

GWG does a good job with recruiting stuff. Wish I had those connections.

The Diamanti thing was on Twitter yesterday, Vorel or someone popped it up.

FYI - you can read most of what's there for free. At least on the Hell's Half Acre forum. Can't post and can't see the recruiting info, but that's ok with me.

And I've yet to see much posted over there that wasn't posted here.

GO POKES!

I read this site all the time. The one thing, at least for me, is the prior responses and replies in the same response, increases the length of the chain and makes it difficult to read since you don't know where one starts and one ends. I like the GWG sight for that simplicity. This one does seem to get more activity though?

THANKS FOR DOING THIS!!!

GO POKES

Gowyogo is boring.
I mean, I'm not over there so there aren't going to be many fights ;)
But really, there are like 1 or 2 new threads every week that have like 5 replies on them, but on Wyonation we actually talk quite a bit.

And the news that the gowyogo people get comes to wyonation not too much longer.

We have more people, many of which are students, or have some ties to the current athletics programs so we get real "inside" news.
