Glenn v Bohl

Hey guys.

Haven't posted in a while, but this news has me curious.

Legitimately, what makes this a better hire than Glenn was back in 2003?

Looks like they have similar successes at their respective schools, but in each case, they are not D1 programs, and as we saw with Glenn, success in DII or 1-AA doesn't translate to success at a D1 level.

Just curious on the thoughts.

Bohl has legitimate D1 experience as an assistant coach. He has many more years of experience coaching, and has won 4 national championships at two different levels. He has been a DC at Nebraska and Rice for many years, and took NDSU from a down D2 school to the best program in FCS. He built NDSU to what it is today, Glenn inherited a program at that level.

Rumor is that Coach Bohl chose Laramie over Fargo cuz there isn't a Best Buy in Laramie.

However, we all know why he chose it.

Yup. JV FCS football just can't "Cowboy up" with the bucks... So, they can buy up all the coaching staff they want.

Don't you remember Ramnation. I attended CSU, got my undergrad at UND...but my grad school is right here. U of Wyoming...

Remember, if you want to work on the farm, go to the University of Agriculture and Applied Science. If you want to own the farm, go to UND.

No. Just Hayduke from Siouxsports.com. A UND grad and a Wyoming grad. I saw Sam, or "Lakes" and just couldn't resist. I dig that Bohl was hired for the Pokes. He's a very good coach, unlike DC. Plus, it may screw up the University of Agriculture and Applied Science's football program a bit. Two birds. One stone. It was brilliant!
