Except she has over 500 career assists, and shared the ball enough to let Kayla Woodward shine the previous 3 years.LanderPoke said:Dent is kind of a ballhog, but is really good. Don't know what the future holds.

NowherePoke said:A lot of injuries this year really put them in a bad spot. Recruiting has declined and the program just isn't what it once was. Having said that, this was the first losing MWC record in the last 12 years and only the 2nd of Legerski's tenure (he went 6-8 in his first year in MWC play). Shyatt is very well regarded despite only having one winning MWC season in his 5 years and that one winning season is the only one by the Men's program in the last 12 years.
That's my way of saying things aren't great with the Women's team, but on the long list of issues facing UW athletics, it is pretty far down the list.
Yah every time you question the direction of the program, the 2007 NIT championship gets thrown at you. That was almost a decade ago...I'd hope at some point that doesn't get him a pass. There was a time the women were pulling in as big of a crowd as the men coming off those two great years. But again, I don't know enough to know if it's coaching, recruiting, or what. They do seem to be in a pretty constant backslide.McPeachy said:NowherePoke said:A lot of injuries this year really put them in a bad spot. I am a Joe Legerski fan. I am not really a women's basketball fan (in general).
That said, it is frustrating watching CSewe go from being a poor program & bottom dweller in 2011-2012, to achieving their 3rd in a row regular season conference championship (2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16). And finishing this season an undefeated 18 & 0. Yes - IMO - further positioning themselves for a better future for their athletic department.
And our program has been in reverse during that same time frame. Did the NIT championship in 2007, and the subsequent 2008 NCAA appearance buy Joe & the program a lifetime pass for achieving mediocre results? Injuries happen to every team...but the few games I saw this past season in person looked like a cross between dodgeball and keep away.
