Let's show the conference this 2 seed isn't a fluke, beat them pesky Fresno St. Bulldogs, make a run at the MWC tourney!!!! GET EM

18 points through almost three quarters. The women's team should save the university money and not bother going to Vegas. They are absolute dog shit in this tournament every year. It's borderline unbelievable how bad they are in this tournament.

You are correct.

When you lose your best player to a season ending in injury it tends to affect the team.

Nope. Don't get to use that excuse. The team went 3-1 to close out the season without Roberts, including a win over CSU. The fact of the matter is Legerski's teams, not matter how good they are in the regular season, go to the tournament and piss down their leg. Whatever he does in preparation for the tournament he needs to do the opposite. Most people can't even get to Vegas to see them play because they are one and done virtually every year.

No one would drive or shoot. They would just pass it endlessly around the perimeter. It was not how they played for most of the year. Weird

I understand the "losing your best player" BUT, they NEVER play well in the tourney, EVER, I really like Joe but, that WNIT Championship(10 years ago) and 1 NCAA tourney bid only lasts so long(doesn't it) I would love to "try" to get behind the Cowgirls but they just can't ever win the big ones

A really pathetic performance and embarrassing loss. Really no excuse for playing that poorly. It has to be on the Joe, lack of preparation and motivation.

Kind of sad honestly. The best teams Joe has ever had have been 1 (or 2) and done in the MWC tourney. Not sure what it is, maybe the tourney is Joe's kryptonite or something. Clearly there is an issue...maybe they need to spend less time on the "Vegas Experience" and more time on why they are there in the first place.

It's strange to me that Shyatt got a pass on this exact thing yet people are frustrated with Legerski.

Not that I am personally frustrated, after all, it is women's basketball, and it does little-nothing to help pay the bills at UW. The comparison with Joe & Larry...is...well...strange. Joe has been HC at UW for 15 seasons, and rarely makes it out of the first round of the MWC tourney, and has NEVER won the thing, even with fielding some very solid teams in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013 (and a #2 seed this season 2017).

Shyatt's teams weren't world beaters in the tournament, but they at least occasionally won a few games and even won the tournament once. The Cowgirls go to Vegas and stink it up every year. You can set your watch to it. I don't live and die with the Cowgirls or anything, but it's truly amazing to me that no matter how good the team is during the regular season it loses in the first round of the MWC tournament.

That doesn't really make any sense. I am not personally frustrated with Legerski (2nd place in the MWC and still going 3-2 after losing the best player is good for any team, but outstanding in the grand context of UW athletics and our robust history of competitive failure across all sports), but if someone is frustrated with Joe it is probably because he has yet to win the MWCT in 14 tries. Shyatt won it once out of 5, which would be the only time we have won it in either Men's or Women's BB over the last 28 years. IOW, Shyatt is pretty much the only coach who can get a pass on our MWCT (and WACT) failures. His 20% success rate beats our overall 2% success rate by a mile.
