GAME TIME

61-53 Pokes. A good win, but worrisome that Leonard had so many issues scoring. Nance and Cooke stepped up quite well, but still.

He just had too many early fouls that completely shut him down. The biggest issue I see if against a real team if everyone doesn't put up points we don't win. We can win against a team like tonight with Washington not needing to score that same game against anyone in the MWC is a loss.

Just got back from the game. Leonard couldn't get into the flow of the game for some reason. A couple of the fouls he did get were a little questionable, but then the refs were calling it close both ways. DC is going to fill in just fine for Leonard next year. The way he has progressed in each of the games he's been in should be encouraging for Poke fans. Speaking of which, there was a good amount of us at the game. Got to talk to Dave Walsh before the game and he echoed that same observation.

Josh Adams is a freak of nature with his ability...next year I see him working more on dribble penetration and making his own shot (ala Marcus Bailey).

Keonta Vernon was at the game sporting the Brown and Gold. That kid has a ready-made D1 frame and will probably contribute immediately next year.

With the lack of people at the game, it was nice to sit first row right behind the Cowboy bench and hear the coaching from Papa Shy. He knows what he has to work with and has done a hell of a job getting the younger guys prepared to contribute. DC and J. McManamen are going to be a big part of this team going forward the rest of the season.

Washington i have a feeling will have a breakout game against Boise on Saturday, just a feeling. just what the doctor ordered in a tough win to start the 2nd half of the MWC battlefield
