Interesting article and something that finally points out my year long bitch (and heated argument hear with several others that are fans of the hurry up bullshit offense for UW) - slow down the offense so you don't kill your defense! It doesn't work without having a solid D. And UW is living proof. Can't believe DC is that stubborn (because I don't think he is that stupid) to make a change.

They didn't run a hurry up against Boise. They ran a 3 and out scheme. Works perfectly...... Except when you want to win....

 Are you saying UW isn't capable of running the fast paced 3 & out anymore - that it is now the slow paced 3 & out?

At least with Joe Glenn we used up a couple of game clock minutes with the run run pass punt scheme.

Glad to see Gags calling Christensen out. Reporters here tend to tread lightly around Christensen for fear of losing access to the program.

Except the game he punted on 3rd down.

After five seasons, nothing says "program on the rise" or "program on solid footing" like this statement here:

"We’re going to go out and recruit probably 10-12 junior college kids, and hope that eight of those guys can come in and give immediate help, and develop and maybe redshirt some of the others."

Actually......I think I do see something "on the rise":

JC signees
2011: 4
2012: 5
2013: 8
2014: 10-12 (est.)

I stopped reading, I'm too pissed. Ive treaded along the fence, but I can't watch anymore it's too painful to see what's happening to all these kids. I'm shocked so many of them are even still on the team.

I think he's pretty stupid. He's the one that told the players "D's get degrees", without realizing they need C's t be eligible to play. However, he apparently is smarter than Burman, and for him that's all that matters.

That brightened my day!

TO HIS DEFENSE.....that is a common joke

Burman first to go, then NumbNuts. In that order.
I'm not wasting any more breath on this deal.
We all know.

Meh, I could see Burman trying to save face (and his job) by firing Christensen.

The BOT needs to play this smart (I realize, that's asking a lot) if they don't want to find themselves searching for a President, an AD, and an HC all at the same time. Might be best to neuter Burman, find a President, let him and a committee find an HC, then "leave" Burman's fate to the new President.
