Future WYO bball player Keonta Vernon

Wow, those are some impressive stats, sounds like he's a manchild. On a sidenote, kind of surprised that the Native American rights people haven't made the school change their mascot, especially seeing as how it's in California.
 
It would be hard to put those kind of numbers up in a video game, it looks like coach Shyatt may have found another diamond in the rough!!!!! And another future poke Trey Washington is averaging 17.9 pts a game. He is 18/36 from three and he shot over 50% from three last year as well, might just be a sharp shooter!!!! The present and future of Wyoming basketball is very very exciting!!!

Probably some easier teams now, but I think I remember reading that he was a major contributor to his team last year that went far into the state competition. I'm sure his stats will drop off a little bit as the season goes on, but I hope by the time it comes to regionals, and state his stats pick back up. It would be good to see that he is playing strong against strong competition. Hell let's hope he wins player of the year! lol
 
Doesn't matter who those stats are against unless he is playing grade schoolers those are crazy stat lines. Pure domination. He is obviously very talented.

Hopefully Dicky V one day says Keonta Vernon is a stat sheet stuffer and is makin this AA CRAZY BABY!

Agreed.

I remember he was legitimately ticked off that Wyoming received an at-large bid in 2002. He wanted one of his ACC buddies instead (can't remember who right now). It was wonderful that the Pokes made him look like a jackass with their performance against Gonzaga (not that he needs any help looking like a jackass).

I won't watch a game if he is the analyst (or will watch on mute). He single-handedly reduces the quality of college basketball discourse and analysis. He is everything that is wrong with ESPN and sports entertainment. Volume over facts, style over substance, using a national platform to promote those which have either a personal relationship with him or a financial relationship with ESPN.
 
I think a lot of people are annoyed by Vital but at the same time you can't discredit what he has down for Basketball and regardless how much we like him when he talks people pay attention and that means when he is talking about Wyoming we are getting notoriety and anything good is good for the program.

I love Dick Vitale. I think he is a great announcer. People either love him or hate him. Another guy that people either love or hate is Gus Johnson. I think Gus Johnson is the best sports announcer right now. He makes the games way more exciting by the way he calls it. I wish he was still with CBS to announce the NCAA tournament.

Anyways everyone has their own taste so you aren't the first person I have seen say this. I have seen multiple arguments over both Dick Vitale and Gus Johnson. They both seem to either make make people love them or hate them.
