Has it EVER crossed your mind that he could be right? Granted, I'm not saying he is but still....

Your lamentations did not go un noticed. It is truely sad that as good as Brett Smith is, that the Pokes are still a terrible team. Many of us will look at this Idaho win thru rose colored glasses. Enjoy this moment. It may be the last. We have a coach that is less than .500 and makes a 7 figure annual salary. How did this happen? Last season, I think the Pokes got real lucky in playing not to loose and actually got a couple of wins we shouldn't have.
This year, the offense cannot consistently make 3rd down conversions, maybe because we are always 2nd and long. The defense can't stop the run or the pass. Is it the scheme, the personnel, the number of zero and 1 and 2 star athleties we have? Our opponents 0's and 1's and 2's seem to be better than ours. Maybe size matters. We play with only 2 linebackers. I still can't figure that out. Is it any wonder that the Dbacks always lead the team in tackles on a game by game basis.
I doubt we will win any shootouts against our upcoming opponents. We can only score 20 to 24 points, it seems, against a majority of our opponents. It is a shame that Poke football is where it is. That our former fellows (Utah, BYU, TCU and now BSU and SDSU) have or will more on to greener ($) pastures. We MWC diehards have snubbed the lowly WAC in the past, maybe as early as just last week, and now it seems that the former lowly WAC members, both this years and next years as well, will surpass the Cowboys.
One of my LDS friends once told me that all God's best children come from Utah. I replied that all to God's best children come from Wyomng and are Cowboy fans! I think now, that one of God's best children comes from Salem,Oregon and is a Cowboy!

Our offense usually does one of two things:
1.) go 3 and out
2.) throw a rediculously long pass and gain a rediculous amount of yards, negating #1
Maybe we should combine the lines - have some of the offensive players play on defense?

I'm pretty happy with what DC has brought to Wyoming.....two bowls in three years isn't a bad start unless you don't think this deserves credit. This year has not started how we all thought it would, but we could easily be 3-1 at this point. Star ranking mean squat and this season is far from over and I'm still on the wagon.

I think our D-line is decent this year. To me, it seems like the linebackers are not getting it done in the run defense except for Korey Jones. Hasn't he been a tackling machine this year?
