What do Wyoming fans have to be excited about? We are playing a 3rd place WAC team who's biggest claim to fame is playing Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart "close" 4 years ago?

Pathetic these Fresneck trolls who think they are deserving of a Holiday Bowl bid.

That's great that they outgained everyone they played, but the only number that matters is the score.

Winless Colorado State? Did CU, Nevada (who crushed Fresno), and Weber State not count? (And yes, I know they should have lost the Weber game, but still...)

Bottom line is we're playing a team who thinks that they're the shit, and we're going to knock their dicks in the dirt.

I've always heard that Fresno/The Central Valley is a dump so not sure how he can talk about Wyoming.

Does the local media not like Pat? All things considered...he has done a pretty good job in the valley...although I understand he employs dirty tactics on the field.

Actually.... you understand wrong... They are one of the least penalized teams in the WAC.... have been for awhile....

PH has been HC for 13 yrs..... that's a double lifetime for HC's.... which creates a lot of history... good & bad... bottom line, he graduates +90% of his seniors....

Five Fresno State student-athletes – a larger number than any other university in the United States – won places on the 2009 Academic All-District 8 team announced by the College Sports Information Directors Association.

Seniors Moses Harris and Robert Malone, juniors Vince Pascoe and Andrew Jackson and sophomore Kevin Goessling were on the district team, which includes schools throughout the West. It’s the second straight selection for Pascoe, who maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA in mechanical engineering.

They will be placed on the national ballot for the Academic All-America team.

Penn State placed four players on its district team, second-most after Fresno State.

Ahhh...please excuse. I must have been thinking more pre-Pat Hill (Sweeney)...and in the early 90's.
 
Plus Steve Cameron has a history in Wyoming. This is the story as I've heard it. During the mid-80s he was hired as sports editor of the Casper Star-Tribune. His first day on the job he had, what the CST hierarchy, thought to be alcohol on his breath. Cameron claimed that his breath smelled that way because he was diabetic. The CST said prove it, take a blood test. Cameron refused, the job offer was rescinded, and he moved on. It may or may not have been alcohol on his breath. I don't know. I'm just stating facts as I know them as to why he would have an ax to grind about anything Wyoming.

Yeah, in all honesty, Laramie isn't that much to be proud of. The area around is absolutely awesome, but the town itself... eeehhh. I couldn't take more than 5 years there, and now I love being close to Denver.

That being said, there's no place more beautiful in the world than northern Wyoming. And I say that as a Swedish citizen who's traveled a LOT.
