Really interesting blog to read. Player to fan experience at game day.

Every team has some idiot fans. Probably not a good idea to sit in the stands as a former player. I know I would probably react the same way if I was him. Ive heard some dumb things sitting in the stands but I usually end up just shcaking my head. Now I don't know if OU has a higher percentage of idiots but it is possible since Im sure they have lots of frontrunner fans.

I get a little different take. A whole lot of us fans have a tendency to think we are the experts. We are better evaluators of coaching than the ADs. We know better than the head coach who should be the assistants. We know what's wrong with the schemes, the players skills and attitudes. Todays' threads are filled with it. A lot of us would do ourselves and everyone around us a lot of good if we would put more into enjoying the game for what it is as a fan, and less into thinking we have be the expert with all the answers.

Great point! It is so easy to be a couch - coach!

I completely agree. Thats why I shake my head at people that yell stuff thinking they know something the coaches or players don't. And when I find myself thinking the same way I try to reign myself in and know the coaches and players probably know something I don't.

Its much easier to be a chair coach. More expensive though. Risk breaking the damn thing jumping up and down everytime something goes wrong.

If we didn't think we were experts I'd have to close this site down. So please, let's all go back to being experts. :thumb:
