Hill's a good guy, but like many coaches (LaVell Edwards and Sonny Lubick come to mind), he needs to know that his time is past and he needs to step down.

One losing season every 6 years doesn't mean it's time to go. If DC could have the same track record at WYO as Hill does at FSU I would be ecstatic!

Ya cause those moves sure worked for CSU and BYU :D I wish crowton still coached at Byu maybe we would of won more games in the early 2000's not to mention lavell won a conference champion his 2nd to last year. pat hill's last two season were 8 win seasons. Lubick's last years were bad but im still pretty sure he could still out coach Fairchild.

The grass aint always greener on the other side. Not to many schools have the expectations year in and year out to go and fire a coach who has a .600 winning percentage after 15 years (including atleast 8 win in nine of those years). In short Pat Hill's time has not passed after having just one bad year.

He's taken that team to a bowl game 11 of the past 12 years, but he's only won 4 of them. The bowl losses are the biggest thing going against him.
