Fresno State joining the MWC, Nevada to follow?

BYU is going to be hit hard by bad press and shitty scheduling after this blows over. No matter what they decide to do. If they go Indy, they might get the occasional Big 12 or PAC team to play them at home, but outside of that, the WAC won't be a compatible conference anymore and the MWC will not play them (either because of trying to backstab the conference or signing an agreement of not playing the Whiners). They'll be stuck playing FCS teams and traveling a LONG way for most games. And I can't imagine that many students would be happy about this either.
 
Is this for real?! What does BYU have to gain by joining WAC in everything but football. Going independent in football is a toss up, it could work well for them or it could hurt them. They would most likely have a tough time scheduling enough quality opponents at home to have any shot at a BCS bowl.
Oh well, hopefully it wouldn't hurt the MWC too much with them leaving....hopefully TCU stays put and we did add Boise so that should almost be a wash with loosing Utah, just not sure if adding Fresno and Nevada equals losing BYU in the grand scheme of things.

I always hated BYU and i always will, I hated Fresno cause of all the trash talking they did.. Reno Has a college? With football?! I did not know this :P

Now all we need to do is ADD Houston/Utep or Hawaii and maybe Montana?

I was thinking more along the lines of adding Houston and Tulsa next.
 
They are only 30 minutes away from my relatives house in Fallen.

Though, that is more of a personal thing than anything else.
 
Tulsa is nice but i gotta think about the Lobos having somone close to play and UTEP is good don't they bring a bowl game with them too?

Nevada Wolfpack will be a good fit for the MWC. They have recently been quite good in football and also have a strong men's basketball team.

I'm quite excited about the latest news!

Good point.
I think Tulsa is traditionally a higher quality team though.

Gawd, I sinerely hope we don't invite Tulsa. No Okie schools in the MWC unless it's Oklahoma State!

No Okie state! Only room for one team of Cowboys and thats us!

Utep brings the Sun Bowl and with (Maybe) going to 12 we might need it, But think of the recruits down in Texas. We would go down there and play a few times a year and with Fresno that opens up the Cali recruiting up abit more aswell.

Now where would we have the Confrence Championship game at? I'm Thinking Denver :D
