That Mississippi State one is awesome. Something about it is just sweet. Shows the field over the 100 years, and the packed stadium.
The Navy one is cool, but that is just the Stars and Stripes in me speaking.
I really don't think ours is that great. Maybe I am just so used to seeing our poster already, or maybe I am just over the hype of the poster, or seeing similar formats for all ours...mountains, players, opponents. Got it.

At least we have this to hang our hats on.....our team might be mediocre but our poster is top 10. Yeeehaawww. Good job Tom!! :willybs:

CSU's poster was ranked as a tie for #2 in the nation next to Vanderbilt.

I wouldn't even have checked it out but that guy that commented on Footballscoops saying Wyomings poster was shit and CSU had an amazing poster so I had to see it for myself. What do you guys think of it?

Haha! He can add this notch to the list of athletic department accomplishments where he was bragging about the new field design being rated as top 10 by some obscure webpage.

In Tom's world a rating like this = a conference championship!

I really like the Wyoming poster. That said, Burman had absolutely nothing to do with it. He didn't even approve the final draft - Bohl did.

I don't get this attitude, it's like damned if you damned if you don't. We should strive for excellence in all facets of our athletics program including media, posters, etc..

Good job to the people that made this well received poster a reality! Yes, the goal is to win football games. But I believe it is fairly clear that a winning program requires excellence in all facets.

We made a very improbable hiring that has so far shown himself to be far far superior to the former coach in every way (yes I understand we are yet to see the on field product, which will likely require a few years for an adjustment period).

That article was for the 2012 posters.

This is their 2014 poster...

Sorry for my attitude, but I'm a fan who has rooted for the Pokes for over 50 years, and by now I'm a little jaded concerning the "gimmicks". Since 2000, the Pokes have a record of 62-105. While I understand marketing probably better than most on here, I also understand it doesn't matter how pretty you make the product look when it doesn't work. I'm hopeful that Bohl turns things around, but the only water I've seen him walk on is the frozen kind you find in Fargo. I'm willing to give him the requisite time to turn it around, but until I see the win column creep up to a larger number than the loss column, and then remain there, I could give two shits about the pretty poster. :twocents:

Jesus there's nothing our fan base won't bitch about. I'm so damn sick of the old farts on this forum bitching about the way the game is done now. I swear if it was up to some, all the teams would do is show up and play. No practice, that's too modern. Jesus H. Our uniforms are too fancy. Our posters are too fancy. The suites are too fancy. Give it a rest already. Just because the "glory days" of yesteryear had simplicity and no flash doesn't mean the program today won't be successful with a third uniform or a poster with graphics on it

I've been a fan as long as you have and I have been really disgusted with this program (the last few years especially), but if you can't have any hope & pride (even if it's a poster) then you might as well not be a fan. I don't know how it will turn out with Bohl as our new coach, but I like the direction he has this program headed and the moves he has made so far. So far, I haven't seen any "gimmicks" with Bohl, but I sure did with some of our previous coaches.

HEY! I resemble that remark. You young fart boxes on this board...you are just as lame with your "we gotta have this fancy assed pretty shit in order to win" crap. Meh.

I'm surprised the old farts can operate a computer well enough to post on a forum.

Fyi, Wyoming will be using leather helmets this year because hard helmets and facemasks are for pussies

I'm surprised someone still has to resort to a nice tushy and jello-o bags to draw attention to his posts. ;)
