Football Tailgating

Hey guys, never too early to talk college football. A group of my friends and I are making the long trip from the Chicago area to Wyoming for the NIU game on Sept 3. We will be in an RV, so I was wondering if you guys had any advice on where to park and tailgate. Is there general parking on game days or do I need a special RV permit?

Also, looking for any hotel recommendations in the area, possibly any RV parks to stay at?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to the fall!!!!

This year's game is in Lincoln, not Laramie.
Smoking weed again I see. Northern Illinois is in Laramie not Lincoln.

Aw, shit! I misread his name. I thought it said Husker. Well...I'm a jackass.

I'd help, but a few others are more in the know about the whole tailgating thing than I am. Though most Wyoming Tailgaters will be pretty open about people joining them.

I would call the Cowboy Joe Club at (307) 766-6242. It's the Wyoming booster organization and they handle all game day parking. Your best bet is getting into the summit view parking lot, which is directly east of the main parking lot. Wyoming fans are very friendly, especially in the early part of the season when there is still some hope. Stop by any tailgate and say hello, we have more then enough beer to go around.

Here's the 2015 fan guide from UW Athletics. I'm sure they'll update it prior to the season, but most of the information in this guide should remain the same. Also, there are Points of Contact to call if you have questions.
