Fixing Wyoming's Camo Alt. What I would do...

This is a little excerpt from my blog recently that I wanted to share with you all. You can read the blog entry here:

The basics behind it is I'm not 100% in love with they came out to honor the military with. I took inspiration from teams who have done so in a great way. I made up a custom military inspired patch for the event (may be off on the years. They didn't play a year during WWII so I came up with 119). Please take a look at the whole project if you want the full size pics. Here goes:

I really like it.. only thing is, do you think the digital camo would show up on the brown and be noticeable from the stands?

Good call. It would probably be better if I lightened and darkened the two extreme colors just to give it more contrast. On HDTV it probably wouldn't be a problem, but you'd have to have a TV contract to do that :P The way I have it would probably come of the same way Oregon's white camo did. If they really wanted to honor they could give them to armed forces members after the game is over as a thank you.
 
I really dig the patch. Those unis look so much better than the ones that Nike made it's not even funny!

why is everyone assuming that we will be wearing these white jerseys at home vs air force
 
I like it, but it needs more contrast in order to see from the stands that it is camo patterned. Something like desert camo would work I think.
 
Camo looks like somebody left a pen in the washer and everything got tie dyed.

What's with the skull on the patch? Are you suggesting we incorporate some Goth in
our logo?


Somebody in the state should be at each and every practice and give us a run down of
how things are going down.

I could see that haha.

And about the goth look...that made me laugh pretty hard. No that wasn't the intention at all haha. Both of my grandpa's are war vets and have a massive collection of military patches. So many of the badass one's contain skulls and that's what I was going for. Just a one off patch that looked like it could have been used by the military. Something unique that would make for a better set than the one that we will wear this fall. Some will probably disagree and say that Nike's is better. I personally think it could have been executed much better.

NOW THOSE ARE SWEET! These would certainly be better than what we have already. Like Mr. T said, a little more contrast between the browns and it's one nice looking uni

I was thinking realtree but come to think of it digital would be cool. Nike did a 3m digital snow camo shoe this summer. The 3m made it silvery reflective. It would be a pretty cool look. On a side note we were supposed to see some small changes to this years regularly jerseys but Nike production messed up so we won't see those until next season.

I love this idea. Only drawback is that Smith would have a hard time finding his receivers come November - guess we'd have to run the ball.
