Going to be an interesting spring in Laramie.. sounds like the Pokes are a little thin and not a lot of depth built yet.

I was just looking at the depth chart and a few things stood out to me:
1. Tyler Strong is a guard now?
2. I didn't know quarterbacks could have No. 88
3. What's the difference between a tight end and h-back?
4. I hope Tedder Easton (and his 242 pounds) have put on some weight over the offseason if he's going to be a d-tackle.
5. It's unfortunate that the kicker and long-snapper (who both will be starting) won't be in school until the fall.
6. Can Spencer Bruce catch the ball? (just wondering, for anyone who has seen him play)
7. I REALLY like the depth at LB. Almost makes me wish we were still playing the 3-4.
8. There's a lot of running backs.
9. I'm wondering how different the OL depth chart is going to look come September.
10. They say the OL depth is bad... but it looks three deep on the chart. Am I missing something?
11. If Luke Anderson really runs a 4.3 40, he's going to start somewhere.
12. I'm wondering how different the WR depth chart is going to look come September.

My one prediction for the fall: Drew Martinez will be the starter by the second game. If you see him in practice, dude catches EVERYTHING.

Herron returning kicks would be nice to see. I still liked him as a RB and not a WR. He knows how to run, but I'm not sure he can learn how to catch.

The dude has Crisco hands. Those fumbles last year in crucial times of games killed us.

Exactly. Probably the worst timing I have seen to be fumbling the ball. Inside the 20 three times was it?

2 for Herron. ACS got sacked as he was throwing the ball, ball got knocked out, and there you go.

I just looked ta the following website and about threw my computer out the window.

The honeymoon era with DC is over with me. He has 2011to prove something (I don't care about the situation with QB leaving, etc). Time to get these guys to preform the way they should be.

How the ^&%* did we lose this game??????????

Turnovers in the redzone tend to really hurt. Especially 2 of them.

The problem with him being a WR is that he has to catch it before he runs with it. Most WR's from high school know how to catch, but they need to learn route running. If he is a WR, you still have the problem of his Crisco hands. One of his fumbles was plain dumb! He dove for the endzone and let it hang out there. The other one was bad! I recall our all time leading rusher had a bit of the butter fingers as well! I liked the way he ran against NM, could have had a monster day if he hadn't fumbled. I just haven't seen him catch a ball very well.

Watched Bruce play WR in HS (he also played BB and he can jump) ..... seemed catch his share but I have never seen him in practice. Stats say he caught the one pass sent to him last season so that does not really say anything. Will see how he does with a stronger QB. maybe a big target for a young new QB......dont spend much time here but will see

That was last year and besides he was a freshman. It takes awhile moving from RB to WR to get your hands down, catching the ball in space as opposed to catching pitches and taking hand-offs. He's talented and he'll be better and I am already hearing through the grapevine that he has had two good practices this Spring catching the ball.

I like the idea of having a big target for our QB to throw to as well. With Herron, Aiken and Mazi out there for, it could be interesting. I just hope one of the guys is ready and capable of hitting those guys!

#1. O Line Depth/Improvement
#2. O Line Depth/Improvement
#3. O Line Depth/Improvement
#4. D Line Depth/Improvement
#5. D Line Depth/Improvement

#6. Finding a QB

Football can be simple sometimes. The need for quick improvement on the lines outranks everything else by a mile.

I agree. If we cannot become more competitive at the line of scrimmage it hurts the rest of the team and I'm not sure we have the talent to make up for poor line play.

I agree 100%. Skill players get all the attention, but games are won and lost in the trenches. When teams are winning you don't hear anything about the lines, but when teams are losing they are the first ones to get called out. Whoever gets the nod at QB for us this season won't be able to do a damn thing if he's running for his life every play, and corners will get beat every time if the D line can't get pressure on the opposing QB.

I think I read somewhere that Biezuns and Knapton are working their way up to the 275 lbs range without losing their speed, so that should help a bit.
