Will be a tough game opening up at Kinnick Stadium for Wyoming. Think Iowa will be tough this year. We will see if we can move the ball on them much with a new set of receivers and backs. Hope we can keep it closer than double digits and give ourselves a chance to win but it will be tough. They won't be overlooking us after getting upset at home last year by NDSU in the opener. Ferentz usually comes back with a strong year after a mediocre one. Thought this line might be a little closer but think Vegas sees Iowa being stronger this year.

Considering the orgasmic hype surrounding CSU, a slim home victory over OSU would not be impressive.

Tough task, but win @Iowa and I think GameDay is Laramie bound for the Oregon game.

If I were a betting man I'd put money on CSU losing to OSU, not just not cover, but losing outright. CSU is all hype. I can't wait for them to finish with a losing record and last place in the division.

I think the Utags will be better than people think.

As much as I'd love you to be right, what makes you say that? They steadily improved throughout last season and are getting back most of their stars and key players. Unless you think their fiasco against Idaho showed something, I suppose.

The Idaho fisaco where they scored 36(!) meaningless points in the 4th qtr to still lose by two TDs. They beat SDSU in a meaningless game in the rain when SDSU had the division locked up. They were getting smeared @ Boise and got two miracle onsides to make it look respectable (pretty much all their hype is predicated on the results of their games against Boise and SDSU - both deceptive to someone who didn't pay attention, like sports outlets that make predictions). Had to mount a massive comeback to beat USU. Their defense is still really bad and won't get better any time soon with their D coordinator being who he is.

They have a shot at winning 6-7 games, I guess. They are probably going to start 1-3 so they will have to dig out of that. They have an outside shot at starting 1-5 with their schedule. I'm just genuinely not feeling the rams this year.

SBNation has them winning the MW and in NY6 contention. Hype is there, only time will tell. They have recruited well.

Other games in Week 3 that would be competing for GameDay:

Notre Dame @ Boston College
Clemson @ Louisville
Tennessee @ Florida
LSU @ Mississippi State
Miami @ Florida State
Texas @ USC

Some decent games to go up against. If I was putting money on it, I'd say the nod goes to either Louisville, Florida State, or USC. Obviously that is all dependent on records going into Week 3.

Thanks for reminding me Lander! I had forgotten about those games and I've been listening to the mwc talking heads too much. Yeah, they're definitely not as good as people think.

I think Wyoming may have ESPN at one of their games for game day but I don't think it will be in Laramie. If josh Allen is living up to the hype and Air Force is respectable I can see ESPN in Colorado Springs on Veterans Day.

I would be surprised to see ESPN in Laramie for gameday.

Csu is very difficult to predict as they would look fantastic one week and meh the next.
