Eye Popping Stat - Kaden Anderson

In his first career start, Kaden Anderson threw for more yards than Josh Allen ever had in any game at Wyoming. Anderson’s 69% completion percentage would also tie Allen’s 3rd highest completion percentage in any game.
 
Anderson has:

103 less pass attempts
36 less completions
16.3% better completion rate
3.8 more yards per attempt
306 yards less
1 more TD
4 less INT
3 less pick 6’s (as in zero)
61.96 higher rating

Other than that I can’t see any reason why Sawville would have been inclined to consider playing Anderson sooner. I am convinced Sawville has a stubborn personality like his mentor and in his case it took him losses in 4 obviously winnable games to admit he was WRONG!

This team could be no less than 6-3 right now. If Svoboda wants to play D1 he needs to start training to be a TE, DE or go to Northwestern State in Louisiana where he would be the star QB on a team that hasn’t even come close to winning a game. Oh wait - Northwestern St already has a QB with similar stats.

Svoboda would be awesome for an Air Force offense. I’d like to see him moved to fullback or tight end.

Don’t overlook he only played sparingly in 5 of the first 7 games throwing 9 of 12 for 2 TD and 2 INT in mop up duty. He was allowed to play more at SJSU throwing 1 TD and 2 picks in a desperate attempt to get the team back in the game after Svoboda was able to generate 1 score in 15 possessions and finally benched.

If Svoboda would have been benched the entire home game with USU we would have won but Sawville was afraid to turn him loose. In fact Sawville tried the same blunder against UNM a couple of times putting in his favorite player on short yardage situations that were obviously easy to defend due to the limited ability of Svoboda to move the offense.

The bigger problem was staying the pistol instead of having Svaboda go under center and run a qb sneak if you were going to put him at all

Every time the guy gets in front of a camera he says something that makes me do a double take.

I know it would be super weird, but UW would be better off sending one of the assistants out to do post game interviews and press conferences. Sawvel just doesn't seem to realize the absurdity of the things he says, at least in the moment.
 
Pocket awareness and fearless with pressure in his face really impressed me. He's likely to have a bad game somewhere in the rest of the season; that's young qbs. However, the kid has some intangibles you can't teach.

I said it another thread but I'm a big fan. One of the better looking qbs we've had. I'm not sure he can continue that pace with better competition this year, but off to a great start.

It’s unfortunate for us that he is from Texas. Texas schools love to poach Texas kids from out of state schools after they prove themselves.

Sawvel should be HEAPING praise on Kaden. Instead sawvel is mad Kaden is doing well and making him look like a moron. Sawvel won’t even call Kaden the starter and is making excuses for svboda and saying svboda still has a bright future here. Saw needs to begone

Yeah, the entire situation is bizarre.

For as long as Sawvel has been involved in college football, he just does not seem to get it. There are some Wyoming high school football coaches that probably would have gotten a better result with this team than Sawvel has. It's a very depressing situation.
