ESPN adds 15 MWC/2 Wyoming FB games

ESPN announced 15 more MWC they will air including 2 Wyo games (@AFA, @Boise). Won't know kick-off time or what specific channel until closer to gametime. We might get lucky and get the Boise game on ESPN or ESPN2, but I wouldn't be surprised if AFA is on ESPNU.

I do believe that Root is going to grab the majority of the Wyoming home games this Fall.

A combination of factors makes Wyoming less then desirable for big time tv. At the end of the day wyoming hasn't been very good and does not have a large market share of television sets. Therefore we will never be on ESPN very often. Root, I immagine will pick up a few games (CSU, Utah State, Hawaii) Hopefully ESPN3 carries most of the poke home games like they did Idaho. I also expect Ktwo to pick up the conference games that are not picked up by ESPN, Root or CBS college Sports.

I would hope ROOT sports Rocky Mountain would pick up most of our conference games but they also have a contract with Big Sky.

I could honestly give a shit if we have any home games on ESPN. I'll be at those. It's the away games that we need coverage for.

I know that home games on national TV will give us good exposure, but it also leads to people saying "Why go to the stadium when I can just watch it on TV?"

As a fan currently living in southern wyoming for school I agree with you. As someone who knows what it is like to live in Northwest Wyoming. I think it would be great for home games to be on tv. 12 hours round trip is a tough go for even the most hardcore fan.

They will likely pick up Idaho, UNC, UNM, CSU, and Hawaii. Longhorn network has the Texas State game...

KTWO hasn't picked up a non broadcasted game since before The Mtn. There was always one game the Mtn didn't pick up and KTWO didn't touch it. Not sure they have the budget or capabilities it takes these days.

If anything, The MWC digital network will pick up the other games that aren't broadcast by Root etc.
