When fcs plays fbs, does fcs get in-helmet communication or does fbs go without?

FCS teams can opt to use in helmet communication at any time besides the playoffs. This is true whether the FCS team is playing an FBS team or another FCS team.

Because they can’t use the technology for the playoffs, many FCS teams are opting not to use it during the regular season as well. I believe NDSU decided to use it against Colorado. Not sure if they will continue to use it for the rest of their regular season or not.
