Do you really think Texas State is a trap game?

I wouldn't bet anything on this game. If Wick continues to fumble the ball and TS spends a LOT of time slowly moving on offense, we might not have nearly as many scoring opportunities as we'd like.

Not worried about the fumble Wick had he has never shown a tendency to fumble the ball. If he did it would be a concern. The AF defense made a good play and punched the ball out. Herron had two fumbles against UNC and I dont hear people saying they're worried about Herron. Wick is a between the tackles runner and it happens on occasion.

Here's another one of our overrated stats :D

Forced fumbles:
1 Anthony Barr UCLA Sr.
- Deon Broomfield Iowa St.
- Mike Orakpo Texas St.
4 Brandon Golson West Virginia
5 Jonathan Anderson TCU
We're pretty familiar with Orakpo. Saw a lot of him when he played for CSU. I'm sure the coaches are well aware of his presence.
Orakpo is more dangerous to meet up with outside a party than on the field

With Texas State playing so slow, is it just boring as hell to watch?
Very, very boring. But Franny cakes every once in a while will mock up some weird ass play that never works... it wakes you up like a bucket of ice water

Used to be the case, not anymore. I know plenty of people who have met the dude personally and a few who are good friends... San Marcos can change any man for the better

i have no problem with people debating back and forth as long as we are all realstic. The USU fan forum gets all kinds of BYU and utah douches that chime in. Not all is well in Provo right now. Many (me included) thinks they have dropped to #3 in the state in football. They havent come to grips with this yet. So...instead of manning up, they go to other forums.

This past weekend when byu fans peppered the refs with garbage and debris while leaving the field...an acquaintance of mine said, "well, at least they werent beer cans!" As if it matters. I don't drink, but if people want to, I am fine with that. So it pissed me off when they said that. Throwing a Sprite can is okay but a Coors can isnt??? Hmmm...ok.

Anyhoo, no more diatribe.

Mint, what is TS's best offensive threat?

do they at least bring cookies and lemonade?

Speaking of BYU. I helped my church set up the Flooding Recovery Center in Longmont, and tons of our members as well as members from some other small local church came out and volunteered and did all the dirty work for that (and it was really freaking dirty). Obviously we've been involved in running it since then too - but now LDS is doing everything they can to push us out of there and take over the operation, even though they were nowhere to be seen as we set it up.

Whereas my pastor wanted to help first and bring people to God second, the comments some of the Mormons have made makes it obvious that they're just seeing it as a way to convert people, which is why they want to get rid of the "competition."

Sorry to hear that. Not everyone is like this.

Oh, I know this - I play soccer at an LDS church here, and most of those guys are awesome... they're also not the people involved in this particular instance (though I can't say for sure if some of the church's members are involved).

He lost the ball three times on Saturday. Once it was an actual fumble lost, once it was after the ball barely got into the end zone, and the last time he had a knee down.

You can bet the TS video coaches have caught on to that.

Good I actually hope they try to go for the ball when Wick gets a carry. If they're going to concentrate on that they will probably get dragged an extra 5 yards. The guy has had over 150 carries since last year and one offical fumble. I'll take those numbers anyday. The thing about power backs is they drag a lot people with them and sometimes one of those defenders hits the ball out. Im sure he got reminded in films to carry it high and tight. Bring on those Bobcats!

Just curious, how well does Wyoming play under varying elements? I think I read 50% chance for rain on Saturday

both the idaho and NoCo games had lightning delays of 40mins or more

But the rain we got, along with the wet field, didn't really bother them.

And those things are liver-killers. Giving Wyoming fans an extra hour to drink in the parking lot = major shit show.

:beer2:

Any team can play another tough. Although my gut says we'll take care of business, things do and can happen. I don't want us all to come out like some sort of Nebraska fan calling for a complete annihilation. Tx st could come out fired up as we do against schools we are not expected to compete with. I wouldn't be surprised to see it close in the first half. We've come out slow before but I think our tempo will pay off in second half if we don't already have game in hand.
