divisions

The only bad thing, if you can call it bad, with an East-West division separation, is that the Eastern teams play all their conference games against other cold-weather opponents, while the West teams bask in the sun. Maybe there could be an North-South alignment without removing some of the obvious rivalry games.
The divisions are 6 teams each, meaning 5 division games + 3 opposite division games to make up MWC play. Hopefully that equates to one trip to California for everybody, but I hear you it would be a recruiting advantage for the "west division". There are rumors that because of that advantage, a North-South approach might not be as far-fetched as fans think.

Mountain West ‏@TheMWC
