Difference between foul calls last night.

Some people just want to say the refs sucked and gave the game to CU and that it was 8 on 5 but it wasn't.

CU got to the free throw line more because CU attacked the rim more.
Attacking the rim more will get you fouled more.

Playing physical defense like any Larry Shyatt team plays, will get you in foul trouble more,

That is the bottom line with this new BS rule. Touch them and you foul them.

It wasn't the refs that won the game for CU. It was the fact that our team hasn't learned that our aggressive defense isn't going to be as effective now. And we have to attack the paint more.
Bottom line.
Time for Hankerson and Adams to start going at the rim a LOT.

Agree 100 percent. The refs did not favor CU. Well, I assume a home team will always get more calls. But no more than usual. But now that we have 2 players who can create off the dribble, they need to have the ball in their hands. Hankerson made one nice drive to lane and then dished to Cooke for the dunk. All kinds of opportunities with dribble penetration.

Actually Adams DID go to the rim. And he picked up charges. So Shyatt has to teach more about picking up charges. Pokes could have done it several times but I noticed that some Pokes just didn't want to get smacked, like Washington was willing to do last year.

Well...Washington was a grown ass man...son!

I disagree with this post on a few points:
- There was an incident that could have and should have been called a back court on CU that did not get called and the possession resulted in points, 2 if i remember correctly
- There was an egregious and blatant travel in the second half that resulted in two points for CU that did not get called
- There was a play under our basket where nance went up for a shot and got hacked, hard. Hard enough that i heard it on the shitty stream, and was not called.
- Josh Adams got called for charges that featured defenders not in place, sliding over and flopping. That happened twice

That is 5 possessions stolen from the Cowboys. You think about what 5 possessions could have meant to the team last night. With 5 more possession and CU having 2-6 points less on the board as a result of those possession and it is a different game completely. Wyoming is, for the most part, a very disciplined team. To have 1 starter foul out (grabau), the other four starters with 4 fouls, and then the next handful off the bench having 3 fouls each or more is very out of character and they were not playing any different last night than they have the last 2 years, I actually thought the team looked great and played sound, smart defense. I personally think CU got some home cooking on numerous calls that affected the outcome. Kudos for CU on hitting their free throws, but thats exactly what they were, FREE. They did nothing to earn them any more than the Cowboys did on their end of the floor. Bums me out. We were the better 5 man team on the floor last night but ran up against a team of 8
