He gets a lot of drug tests.

That sucks for him, but the rules are in place for a reason. If I were him I'd try to come back on the doctor that administered the steroid (incorrectly at that) for harm done to his career. I don't think that the NCAA is out of line at all in this situation. If they start making special exemptions for any player, more will want them. Making an exception for this kid, no matter how justified, would be a bad move for them.

Yeah he will have to wait for his level to come down.
It is still hard to understand why every athlete no matter their age isn't aware of everything that goes into their bodies.

I agree with the NCAA's stance. It's unfortunate but what would it be saying to grant an exception. I also don't believe the doctor never disclosed he/she was administering a steroid. But few 16-17 yr olds would ever voice an exception or question a doctor.

I feel bad for the kid but the NCAA is doing the right thing here. An exception would be like opening a Pandora's Box.

A doctor friend said the more one uses the longer it stays in the body.
And also suspects that the amount used seems to have been a lot, so something that a doctor wouldn't have administered.

I wonder if he doubled up???? Like got a shot from the doctor and then gave himself a shot on the side.

Could be. He can try all he wants to play the victim here, but I'm not buying it. :willybs:
