Didn't this happen last year too? Cant remember the kids name. Something going on? Coaching issue? What the hell?

Never mind. It was Polee at SDSU. Still a weird story. Hope the kid makes a speedy recovery. Wouldn't wish anything but full health for anyone. That way when we beat them, theres no excuse :thumb:

Williams' career is likely after his doctor visit revealed he has congenital spinal stenosis... It was discovered when they were looking at his injury he suffered in the game. Would be tough news to swallow as an athlete

Thats awful. I hate to see any players career cut short over something completely out of their career. That sucks

Damn this is awful news. I'm just glad they figured it out though and hopefully they can treat it. Life is always more important then any game. Just want this kid to be able to live a healthy and successful life.

As odd as it sounds, he is lucky they found it when they did. I worked with a high school wrestler that had a congenital spinal stenosis that no one knew about; that is until he did a front roll and the spine shifted and severed his spinal cord. Better for him to find out before something catastrophic happens.

No question about that. His collapse against NMSU was absolutely a blessing in disguise for his well being and future. UNM already has him in staff meetings and he will act as a student coach

May not be playing, but it still keeps him involved with the team and with basketball in general without sacrificing his health. :thumb:
