Desmar Jackson blasted by head coach

Desmars name isn't even in the article, Guilt by association is lame. In fact Desmar had 28 points in that game. If anything he pulled a Nance like we had at DU.

Yeah and the person that got called out was not Desmar.

The coach did mention how the guards had 1 assist and 7 TO's.
And Desmar had 0 assists and 1 TO.

So I guess, in a way he was sort of responsible.

He did call out all the starting guards and said they are not coachable. Doesn't that sound like Dez?

It absolutely sounds like Dez - anyone that says otherwise either doesn't remember, or is talking out their ass.

Maybe read the article and see if you can find his name in there, guess what? You won't. He called out a player by name it wasn't Desmar holy shit you guys hold grudges worst than women.

Fuck the article. My point was (and is) - Dez is who he is, at UW, at SIU, wherever. Not coachable.

Exactly my point I could care less about Dez one way or the other I was simply pointing out that his current coach said the players were not coachable. Glad that he left if he is that way. Yeah he scored 28 but I would rather my guards score 10 with 5 to 10 assists than shooting every time they get the ball.

I don't care what kind of stats are put up, as long as it's a W.
That's why I find the people who are skeptical of Nance ONLY scoring 3 points against MTSU ridiculous.
He didn't even need to shoot, so he didn't.

But back to Desmar, he was a total punk and am glad he is not a Wyo Cowboy.
Although, had he actually wanted to be coached, he could have been REALLY good.

Does anyone think that Desmar would have been a fit under Shyatt?

His athletic ability and offensive skills? ABSOLUTELY.
His work ethic and will to play defense? HELL NO.

Had Desmar wanted to play for Shyatt, and work his ass off, Desmar could have been a potential MWC POY. He is just too skilled not to, especially with that type of coaching.
I remember the few times Desmar actually got aggressive on defense and would lock down the ball handler and force turnovers.

If he had played that way all the time, he would have created so much more offense for himself.

If he truly wanted to, he could have been great, especially with how Shyatt loves guards in his offense.

But in the end Desmar was a punk, and was all about himself, and lazy.
What a shame to waste all that talent.
I mean if I was fucking 6'5 and had the ability to AVERAGE over 21 points per game, I would love to have a coach like Larry Shyatt and become a star. I would be in the gym all day every day, much like Nance does.
But then again, I am not Desmar, or 6'5, and am lucky to average 5 points a game in a rec league.

No. Shyatt is a team first coach. Flavor Flav is a individual stat-first player.
