I saw that DC is playing for the Bakersfield Jam in the D-League. He played 29 min with 4 points and 3 Reb. Glad to see he made an impression, and I believe the Bakersfield team is associated closely with the Clippers.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like they are actually associated with the Phoenix Suns. Good to see him getting a chance there. I will have to watch their games now.

Here is their roster:

So I looked it up and he starts for them and played 29 minutes. You can watch the games live on Youtube and also watch previous games on the website.

It is likely that his contract had/has a clause in it that states, that should an opportunity open up in the US, he can leave to pursue it

he'd rather be with the DLeague as that gets him closer to the ultimate goal and the NBA hopefully some day

I hope he has coaching that will help him to continue to grow as a player. It is a long shot but I thought with how raw he is and the sheer raw tallent he posses he had a shot at eventually working his way onto a NBA roster. Again a very longshot but hope he he continues to develope. Good luck to him.

He obviously has the athleticism to play in the NBA. He has a lot of similarities to Tyrus Thomas when he entered the NBA. The difference is DC seems to care about getting better. He made huge strides defensively at Wyoming. His free throw shot went from absolutely awful to just bad. He needs to bulk up a little bit, continue to improve defensively (especially perimiter defense), and develop some sort of jump shot. There is no reason he couldn't be a Taj Gibson type of player in a year or two if he puts in the work.

Just got back from the game. He didn't do much statistically, but it was cool to see him on the court. Too bad I didn't get a chance to wish him luck or say hello...

What was his role on the team? Is he coming off the bench?

He started, but he saw 2 quick fouls at the start of each half and got few minutes. They didn't seem to run anything for him offensively, but he was his usual quick, athletic self on defense, in transition, and rebounding. The guy he was going against most of the game, Jack Cooley, played at Notre Dame and has some time in the NBA, so he was a pretty good challenge for DC.

The mountain west was well represented with Deonte Burton from Nevada and JJ O'Brien from SDSU also playing last night

I honestly believe DC will get a shot in the NBA. Size and athleticism isn't as in abundance as you'd figure. Justin Williams had his chance and I know he was a better shot blocker but imo though neither are plus offensive players I think cook has better hands and is faster.

When nance was in Laramie I used to use the comparison of Lou Amundsen. 10+ years prob in the NBA and nance is better than he ever was. Now some call nance the steal of the draft. He has at the very least shown his selection was worthy. I almost have to go back to Lou Amundsen again about DC. Well DC could give a team more ON the court than Amundsen. And he's still in the league.

I know this is an unlikely "what if" but what if cook gets a shot and Adams gets picked. Will it make last years MWC tourney champs underachievers if they had 2 or 3 NBA players?

Dang the more you see of DC and then just how athletic Nance is and Adams ...you start thinking damn we were even more athletic last year than I already thought we were

Of course all these guys have gotten better during the last year but still we had some freakish athletes all around on last years team.
