He's already getting good press in our prime recruiting grounds.

Well, I had a reason to read my Denver Post today.

Usually I ignore it, use them for firewood starter until the Sunday paper.

You sure you're a fan of the University of Agriculture and Applied Science?

Its an interesting comparison between the two.

One advantage you could say he had in Fargo was the scarcity of other schools at the same level as NDSU.

After the University of Minnesota (B1G), the next closest FBS school to the Minneapolis/St Paul area was Iowa State. Northern Iowa and South Dakota State are the other closest FCS schools, and they're all roughly the same distance.

At Wyoming, he will be competing with UC, CSU, AFA in the same conference for kids in their own state, as well as others I'm probably forgetting. However, if the recruits want to "get away" from home, Wyoming may be just far enough outside of the state to make them happy.

They're a little different but similar. There is no major city in ND or WY, thus the major city for those states and fanbases essentially is Denver and Minneapolis/Saint Paul. 45,000 UW alums in the state of Wyoming, 20,000 in the Denver Metro Area, and another 4,000 in the Ft. Collins-Loveland metro area. NDSU's two major alum bases are in the Twin Cities Metro Area and ND. But yeah in terms of recruiting it's a little different. More talent in Denver than Minneapolis/Saint Paul, (only five FBS bound recruits in all of Minny this year) but more competition.
