Can you guys show fire throughout the entire game? I believe Fresno State is over rated and that Smith is a better QB than Carr, but Smith can start games lazy or seems uninterested. I want to see the fire in teams I saw growing up. Koening may have never been a great HC but his teams came to play against teams superior to them. Took Auburn to the wire in a 1-10 season and they huge upset over Air Force. Casey Bramlet and a never say die attitude and I remember watching him lead 2 drives against New Mexico only to lose on a missed extra point that hit the upright. Come on CDC and Cain show the players some fire and make them play a full 60 minutes. Who cares if Fresno has better talent because we all know hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard

I think it's gonna happen tonight. I cannot say for the rest of the season, but i think tonight the leaders on both sides of the ball take it on their shoulders and make us proud. I like what I hear out of practices since Cain took over. I think it'll be a noticeable change. Here's to hoping. GO POKES

I'm very interested to see how the defense responds. Key thing for the offense is o-line play. Give Smith good protection (they've been getting pushed around in pass protection) and open up holes like they did against SJSU for the run game, offense should be fine.

Defense... Well, sounds like the players are really taking to Cain, and that Cain is making sure the players "get it", so, very interested to see how the defense does. Won't be easy, and expect Fresno to get yards and points, but how much of both depends heavily on the defense.

There's a handful of us Beav. Although I am not as pumped as you are for our next game. Boise is probably a lose.
