This is cool. I know it would be a long shot but someone with his size and athleticism could do it. He would have a lot of work to get done.

Question though, If he wants to work on his football skills would it be possible for him to play on the football team next year? I think there is a rule about having 6 years to play 5 (or at least there used to be) but only could play 4 in one sport. Remember Greg Paulus. He played basketball 4 years at Duke then transferred to syracuse for a year and played QB. He would have stayed at Duke but he didn't fit their play style.
I don't know how his Juco transfer or redshirting would play into the possiblities but it has happened in the past. With how thin we are at WR and TE it would be a fun experiment. Of course they would probably have to give him a scholarship for it to be worthwhile and I don't know if the coaching staff would think it would be worth risking a scholarship on such a project. Who knows, it would be pretty cool having a 6-9 athletic wr or te pulling down catches.

You get 5 years to play 4 season in ANY sport. Paulus played all 4 years at Duke with no redshirting, so his basketball eligibility was expired, but his eligibilty in any other sport still had 4 seasons. Since he had 5 years to play 4 seasons, he still had 1 year left to play any sport besides basketball. He could have stayed at Duke, but decided to transfer back home to play for Syracuse.

DC redshirted his first season at CC, then played 1, transfered, and played 3 at UW. So he has used his 5 years and wouldn't be eligible to play football.
