Good point. If we make the fieldgoal we don't need to go for 2. And we will never know what would have happened if we were more aggressive before half. Overall still a pretty good showing, just sick of coming up a little short against ranked teams. Good job boys. Go Pokes!

My takes on this game, disappointing for the loss but fantastic effort from the guys. I think that our offense will put up huge numbers in the Mountain West this season, and that DC is a hell of a play caller and actually made adjustments during the game which was nice. The defense is better, not a great defense but they are much improved and are actually aggressive which was nice to see. I think that we should win a minimum of 9 games this year, and it should be a hell of a season.

We were down by 16... going for the PAT would've meant it was still a 2-score game with 6:30 to go against a team that runs the ball. In that situation, 2-point is probably called 99% of the time.

They showed high lights the overturned TD call and a Martinez TD neither of which were actually highlights. 60 Mins of highlights 15 mins dedicated to Johhny Dumbass. I hope he gets benched with his I'm more important than my team or coach attitude.

Can't stand thinking all year long 15 mins of every 60 min show is going to be dedicated to him.

Read back through your posts....over and over again you said Wyo did not have a chance. We were inferior in talent, and all that crap. How about starting off with something like "Wow, I was wrong" instead of saying "so close"?

Yeah pretty much every recap I have seen from that game is about how Nebraska almost blew it, or Nebraska didn't beat up on the cupcake like they were supposed to.
One reporter even said, they have 1 more tune up game before the big OOC game of the schedule UCLA.
I was thinking, wtf, you almost just got beat in your own house, and you still call it a tune up game?
Smith throws for 380+ yards and 4 TDs and you aren't giving him any credit, rather just sitting there and saying wow Nebraska looked bad but oh well S.Miss is coming up so they can work they kinks out.

Open your eyes and frickin realize that Wyo is good.

I keep asking the same question...but I remember Brett taking a big hit right before that and was a little slow to get up. Didn't want to push and possibly hurt our stud early in the game.
