well it's finally here, and it can be looked at from many different angles. Whew it's almost over, yes it's sad for all the hard work this team put in, and it's relief and on to next year. Leonard may not play from what it looks like. My question is regardless the fact of what happened, do they honor Luke or not? How many are planning on watchng us try to beeet the sheeep? I'll be there, thought I was going to win a trip to Vegas but that fell thru, and I'm kinda ok with that, as I can say I'm exhausted during this hard to watch conference season. But i'll be there in full throat to beat the sheep, and looking forward to some kind of post season, but since going 13-0, 5-12 (if they lose) has been really hard to take.
GO POKES

IMO you guys are still being the same petty fans over Luke, First off you crucified him without knowing the details. There are things that take place that are far worst then this the fact that some of you are even saying it put a black eye on the school give me a damn break.

He was suspended not kicked off the team, He still has to stay clear of alcohol and report to the head coach weekly. Your saying for 1 mistake in the latter part of his senior year that his 1 mistake that could easily be plead down to a misdemeanor he deserves to be completely shunned by the school and it's fans?

Pathetic is all I can say. Seriously when it the last time you saw something in the news related to Luke? The only reason we haven't forgotten it is because our season fell apart because of it. That is still no reason to completely desert him.

I've said my piece i'll leave it at that.

How can you defend someone who kicked an unconscious man in the head?

Maybe cuz it is innocent until proven guilty....not this hang 'em now BS that everyone jumps to now.

He admitted to doing it from what I have read.

After he had been hit. And that was before the arrest. If you know exactly what happened then you go prosecute him.

I can't. My degree is in environmental law, not criminal law.

The biggest mistake Luke made from this entire situation was he should have pressed charges against the attacker right after it happened. Then this never would have escalated but the biggest issue is you assume after a bar fight everything is over and it's never over. If for one moment you think that someone that was involved in an altercation with you might have the slightest chance of getting you in trouble you don't wait for it to happen.

Simple fact is people are greedy and they will take you to court for anything regardless who is at fault. Unfortunately it's hard to trust when someone is going to let by gones be by gones or if they are going to come after you later. This is a case of Luke thought it was over so he never worried about it.

Outside of that I would say no one on these forums myself included ever got the real story. We have no idea when this started how long it was going on and what lead up to it. However it's rather obvious that it's been happening longer than the incident time frame. It started earlier in the night and this was retaliation but who started it?

For those reason right there I don't say anyone is guilty, When and if he is proven guilty then that is said and done.

Who's to say that big Cooke didn't break the guys jaw, after all, it was his punch that knocked him the fuck out. They can't prove that Martinez caused the damage. I see it being plead down.
