well it's finally here, and it can be looked at from many different angles. Whew it's almost over, yes it's sad for all the hard work this team put in, and it's relief and on to next year. Leonard may not play from what it looks like. My question is regardless the fact of what happened, do they honor Luke or not? How many are planning on watchng us try to beeet the sheeep? I'll be there, thought I was going to win a trip to Vegas but that fell thru, and I'm kinda ok with that, as I can say I'm exhausted during this hard to watch conference season. But i'll be there in full throat to beat the sheep, and looking forward to some kind of post season, but since going 13-0, 5-12 (if they lose) has been really hard to take.

He's not a member of the team.

He is suspended, not kicked off.
Who knows, maybe his charges get dropped or something, and then Wyo reinstates him for the MWC Tourney and then we make a run....

Just kidding of course.

But I have a feeling that Lukes name will at least get mentioned tomorrow.

I dont think so. That was a black eye for the entire team and university. I would be very very surprised if his name is even brought up. Senior night is to honor those who stuck it out and leaving the university in high regards. They say his name and what...people cheer? Boo? Silence? Awkward for everyone. I am not saying crucify the guy, but in my opinion, he doesnt need nor deserve any recognition. Honor the guys who deserve to be honored.

Let's not forget he has his arraignment at 11:00am Wed. morning.

And the fact that he has a solid attorney, and that things will probably be pled down to a misdemeanor.

That said, doesn't matter. He doesn't belong at UW's senior night.

I'll be there in my Poke's garb. I get extra credit for attending court procedings so what better thing to attend

Let us know what goes on. Before the "official release".

IMO you guys are still being the same petty fans over Luke, First off you crucified him without knowing the details. There are things that take place that are far worst then this the fact that some of you are even saying it put a black eye on the school give me a damn break.

He was suspended not kicked off the team, He still has to stay clear of alcohol and report to the head coach weekly. Your saying for 1 mistake in the latter part of his senior year that his 1 mistake that could easily be plead down to a misdemeanor he deserves to be completely shunned by the school and it's fans?

Pathetic is all I can say. Seriously when it the last time you saw something in the news related to Luke? The only reason we haven't forgotten it is because our season fell apart because of it. That is still no reason to completely desert him.

I've said my piece i'll leave it at that.

First of all, a "mistake" is when someone does something without willful intent to do it, i.e. I put salt in my coffee instead of sugar. If the allegations are true, he committed a vicious attack on an unconscious person. If true, he deserves to go to jail or prison. He's lucky the victim only had a broken jaw, and not brain damage or god knows what.

It is a black eye on the school and the bb team. We don't need this kind of person representing UW athletics. I cannot understand the mentality of a person who calls this a mistake.

in the heat of a battle I can see something like this happening, but it would have to be truly a life threatening situation. He did give us a blackeye from this and it's really sad. I still have a hard time understanding why he was there at that time of the night anyway, being a scholarship athlete I would think they had some kind of accountablity statement saying certain hours during their season anyway. nothing ever good really happens after midnight at places like this anyway. I understand it was the holiday season, and maybe he wanted to get his new year cheer in early but it's clearly apparent this kid has problems, between fun and drinking. He should know there's always going to be people that are going to test your being a B.M.O.C, leave!!!!
he really let this team down and I don't know if he truly understands the severity of his situation, he's lost his fellow teammates trust, coaches trust and truly lost all composure when he's depended upon to help out during his time to shine.
I hope he gets what he deserves and learns a true lesson from this costly mistake.
I really think we could have had 5 more wins this season with him, which woulda had us flirting with the NCAA tourney. I hope it sends a message to the future Cowboys in what to do and what not to do, and using better judgement!!!

Plead not guilty, will go to trial in Aug. No way the DA would have plea bargained this down to a misdemeanor

Damn....that sucks for Luke. I had a feeling it would go down to a misdemeanor. Now it looks like it is a for sure thing that he is goin away...

I guess we won't be hearing his name announced tonight then. :o

Kind of surpised on the no-plea situation. Then again, if the victim had any say, I understand it completely.

Appears to me that Luke's attorney has something up his sleeve. His comments seem to indicate there is more to the story and he is not playing his hand just yet.

How can you defend someone who kicked an unconscious man in the head?

No actually a mistake is when you do something you realized you shouldn't have no matter how severe it's still a mistake. The fact that you think a mistake is only for putting salt in your coffee is mind boggling.

The word mistake doesn't have limitations based on severity! The fact that you have your own definition of what a mistake is says a lot.

an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.

Just because don't feel his poor judgement can be called a mistake doesn't mean that is the case.

How can you defend someone who kicked an unconscious man in the head?

I didn't defend him, I didn't say it was ok for him to do what he did. I said he made a mistake and he is taking action for that and he is being an adult about it. Regardless I'm not abandoning him and I never crucified him for his actions.
