Conference titles...

Proud of the wrestling team for sure. However, the lack of MWC championships in any sport since 2002 is beyond embarrasing - it's downright pathetic. I don't care if its revenue generating or not - WIN IN SOMETHING! The leadership in athletics is a joke with no accountably held against them by the leadership in the university or by the overwhelming majority of fans. How about the AD at NDSU? he seems to have vision. He wins championships AND gets new buildings with even more of the deck stacked against him. They've beaten a BCS team and been to the NCAA tournement much more recently than UW. Have a strong wrestling team as referenced above, and probably same in other sports. Oh well, maybe next year..........................................

Tom deserves a failing grade. But, I think he made two really good hires in Shyatt and Bohl. Anyone with 20/20 vision can see the improvement in the basketball program aside from a couple set backs. Bohl is the home run hire we all hope turns out to be the home run hire.

If one of these guys fails, then it has to be time for him to go. But, I think he finally made some good hires...in addition to Branch.

I hear you, and agree that Shyatt is a good hire. I hope that Bohl is as well.

For the amount of chances Burman has had - it is just criminal.

Burman:
1. Fired Glenn
2. Hired DC
3. Fired DC
4. Hired Bohl

1. Fired Bucky
2. Hired Heath
3. Fired Heath
4. Hired Shyatt (not really though - the committee hired Shyatt).
Committee hired DC as well, Bohl is the first hire that Burman has made without a committee.

Burman brought Shyatt and DC to the committee. The committee is really just a formality. He selected them to be interviewed and oversaw the whole process. He is responsible and don't deflect either the blame or credit.

Wasn't deflecting any blame or credit, just pointing out that he is just as responsible for Shyatt and Bohl as he is for DC and Heath. It ultimately all goes to him whether you want to give him credit or not, but you can't say that his good hires were done by someone else and his bad are done by him. They are all done by him the good and the bad.
