Conference mates fanbases bashing us...

Must mean we are doing something right.

So I visit our conference mates message boards to browse and keep up with their teams and see what they are saying and today I have to laugh because Wyoming is pretty much getting bashed in one way or another at the other top schools.

CSU fan base bitching that we made the top 25 and saying that we will be brought back down to earth very quickly and won't be ranked when we visit Moby.

New Mexico fans bitching because we are 25th in the coaches and they are 26th. Saying we will be brought back down to earth very quickly and they deserve to be ranked ahead of us.

UNLV fans bitching because Lenoard Washington got MWC player of the week over Anthony Bennet last week. I haven't looked at Anthony's stats and maybe they were better than Washington's but I think Leonard won it because of the way he took over the last 6 minutes of the game against SMU.

San Diego St. fans actually of all the fan bases giving some props to us for making the top 25 of course they are all saying we will be one and done this week and if not this week the week after and we will quickly be coming back down to earth.

I personally hope we keep getting disrespected as I think it's funny. Granted all of these fan bases might be right since Luke is out right now but it would be great to prove them wrong and still win with Luke out.
 
Washington won it because UNLV lost to UNC and Bennett had a pathetic game while Washington was the reason Wyoming won.

Neither of them had great games but Washingtons late steal sealed our win!
 
Judging an entire fanbase by a few internet message board posters I would say is not accurate. But some fanbases definitely seem to have some real jerks and/or crazies.

While I think we beat BSU and move up in the Top 25, I don't think it is a stretch by any means that other fans would think we will fall out of the top 25 after this week or in the near future (considering Martinez is out).

That's the issue. Pokes were going to be suspect because of the weak schedule to start with, but now without one of our Top 2 players? Skepticism is understandable.

However, it looks Grabau's earlier injury might end up helping the Pokes out here in that it gave Adams an opportunity to step right in and take over against some of our most important OOC opponents (CU and ISU). Should have helped prepare him as he will need to take on a larger scoring role now.

The effort and execution will be there from the Pokes. I am confident in that. Will the shots fall?
 
ps: it's fun feeding those idiots anyway, try espn.com for the conversation about tomorrow nights game....lol
